Woven Wraps

What are woven wraps?

Woven wraps are a long length of woven fabric that specifically woven to have exceptional performance as baby carriers. They come in several sizes and are appropriate from newborn until pre-schooler.

Wraps are the most versatile baby carrier. It can be used by multiple wearers & can be used in multiple positions (front, hip, and back carry).

 

Are the wrap materials safe for baby?

AnggyA wraps are made of 100% organic cotton (GOTS certified). We only use safe materials for baby’s delicate skin.

 

What size should I choose for wraps?

When choosing wrap size, please take into account the size of wearer (height and build), the type of carry you wish to use, and the size of wearee.

What is the maximum year and weight I can wear my baby?

There is no maximum – parents can wear their child as long as they can bear! You should know your body and strength well to decide. A good wrap and correct wrapping method make it possible for you to wear bigger and heavier toddler without the weight strain.

 

Can I wear the wrap straight away after receiving it?

It is recommended to wash your wraps before first use to set the wrap fibers, thus makes it stronger for wearing. First wash will also remove production-state dye residue, if any.

 

How to wash woven wraps?

AnggyA wraps can be hand washed or machine washed. If using a washer (machine wash), wash in gentle cycle and “cold”/“room temperature” setting (this prevents further shrinkage/shortening of the fabric), up to a maximum of 30 °C. Use delicate detergent without optical brightener. Do NOT use softener. Hang dry under shade and preferably in a breezy area (not under direct sun, as it might fade out the color of the woven wrap). Stream ironing will fasten the process to soften the wraps.

Batik Slings

What are traditional Batik Slings?

Batik is a technique of wax-resist dyeing applied to whole cloth. Indonesian use batik cloth to babywear since a long time ago. Batik cloth for babywear is thicker than those for clothes, thus makes it stronger for carrying your baby.

 

What is the maximum year and weight I can wear my baby?

Parents and caregiver can wear the baby as long as they can bear. Because of the weight of batik sling is not as thick as woven wrap, wearer usually feels uncomfortable to use it when baby weight is around 15 kg.

Can I wear the slings straight away after receiving it?

It’s recommended to wash your batik sling before the first use. The first wash will remove production-state dye residue, if any.
